Internet Cat Video Film Festival

On Thursday evening, August 31, 2012,  the Walker Art Center, one of the nation’s most prominent institutions of contemporary art, hosted the inaugural Internet Cat Video Film Festival here. An estimated 10,000 people turned out for an event that was, from its inception to its closing credits, an online meme made flesh (and fur).

The event requested cat video entries, judged them and the winners were broadcast for an audience sitting on a grassy lawn.

Some of the most famous internet cat videos made the entry and some brand new ones too.

Check it out to see what cats can do!
